I have been couponing for quite a while. I have built up quite a stockpile of brand-name products that were FREE or next to FREE!
A couple of weeks ago a friend wanted to have a rummage sale. I didn't have too much junk to sell, so I put in the stuff that I've purchased with my coupons.
Then I started feeling guilty.
I think I was given the gift of being able to coupon, and having enough time to coupon for a reason.
That reason wasn't to make a profit.
I called the YWCA where I live and they are able to use everything I have extra of. The kind gentleman I spoke to also gave me the name of a homeless shelter that not only provides shelter and food for the homeless, but allows people who don't have access to showers, come in once a week for a free shower. Since I have a TON of extra personal hygiene products, I am stoked to find this out.
I will try to get some pictures to show you what you can do with a little bit of time and effort to help those who don't have it so easy. I do have a bunch of "shopping" to do today, so I might not be able to get too many decent pictures.
What do you do to give back to your community?

What an absolutely fabulous blog! I'm a knitter/crocheter. So I have been part of a knitting bee where we made things for patients. Lately though, I confess, we have been primarily making things for family and friends. Good for you for doing this!
